Anyone in So Cal?

It would be great if someone could point me to a solid lead source. I am willing to spend up to $15 per FE lead. As a newb, that's the most risk I'm willing to take on leads now.

U wont get much for $15 in most cases...better try internet leads or cold calling for that price or old leads! Need to spend $20-30/lead for most GOOD lead sources!!

Find a mentor and offer them 50% and do as they do.

Yeah, I forgot u could go this route...less commish for cheaper leads!! U can learn this way & get cheap leads. Remember, unless ur getting cheaper leads because someone is providing u with training, support, etc...u get what u pay for with leads!! Read more on this forum about leads!

Its kinda hard to do EFES on a part time basis....but its also a luxury to learn this biz slowly while u still have other income. I would buy old leads & learn with them....they wont last u til next march so at some point u will have to buy some new leads, mailers or otherwise.

Experiment a lil with diff types, since u have time before u are full time....maybe try your own mailers, cold calling, etc. I have a source for decent tele leads too if ud like. If u go with EFES, get under 1 of their top managers like Travis or Shannon (my manager) or I hear Joe is good too.

Good Luck!

Point well taken. Been reading some of the other posts regarding FE, including a 51 page knock em out, drag em out fight with JD and TD. WOW!!! Anyways, going to do some more research and try to make an informed choice. Regarding the lead source your talking about, Are they "generic leads"? I mean I am only with three companies right now and will hopefully grab a couple more here soon. What exactly would I be getting with these leads?

Thanks for the input

Great idea. It seems that most people here are willing to help out. Reminds me when I sold commercial pest control and I was reluctant to take a more seasoned rep with me on a big proposal and my boss pulled me aside and told me that 50% of something is a hell of a lot more than 100% of nothing. He was right, I was wrong and I enjoyed my 50%.

Call Lincoln Heritage. They have the best fe program going in California.

This is a blatant lie!! It may be the best for the recruiter that signs up the unwitting agent, but this person is asking about doing their own production to make money.

JD. For you to state LH does not have a great opportunity for agents in California is ridiculous. I like the post earlier that you made about LH and how you would run it. It proves you are one of the could've would've should've type agents. If you were as good as you claim to be you would have your own insurance company. Let's see JDS track record or LHs track record.

Enough Said
Go get em JD

Talk about Apples to Oranges!! I dont always see things as JD does or agree with him on everything...but u just asked to compare his #'s to the all the agents at LH?? How about apples to apples his vs YOURS?? I dont know u, have know idea if you produce $5k/mo or $20k (dont really care)....but Im willing to bet u dollars to donuts JD's #'s will beat yours. I can see JD's #'s every month thru EFES, so Ill take my chances on JD!
