Anyone Work for Ameri-life?

Good for you! That is an example of a true agent who cares about the client...

hey fixer 422, were you out of the business for a while?
what was that for and why did you move from TN?

Nice video superchief, very funny, although language a bit extreme. Would make anyone who ever worked with them laugh.

Hey Superchief, That sums up the experience I heard everyone has had with amer-lies including myself.
I've made so much more money since I left them and have run into so many seniors that hate them because of their sneaky practices. They are trained to sell policies that benefit the agency and not the client and they are probably the reason there are so many changes in Florida laws on selling annuities to seniors. They're agents are the the ones that ruin it for us honest agents.
I'm so glad I wasn't with them that long and had people steer me in the right direction.

Hey Money Man, yes you are right I was out for a while and moved back to Florida because of health reasons! See thats the problem with these sites always negative stuff and if you don't know the truth don't talk! 42 years old having heart surgery yeah it was time to take a break! Life is GREAT!!!!!

Whoever made this video hit the nail on the head! Hilarious and so true!

When I worked for them, I was naive and stupid, I didn't know what was acceptable behavior and what was not. I was showing up for those early morning mandatory meetings every day. I had a client that wanted a 3 million dollar life policy, and during the meeting I got an email on my Iphone from his secretary because he was coming to Dallas to meet me the next day, so of course I checked it. Well, my manager called me out in front of everybody, high school style, and humiliated me. He told me he was speaking and I need to have some respect and put my phone away. Unfortunately, that was only a preface to much more unacceptable behavior to follow. I would call my manager while I was on appointments to ask questions about something, and he would reply, "What are you, stupid? Didn't you f*cking listen to anything I said?" No joke. The icing on the cake was when I was riding with another agent, and he called, and he didn't realize that he was on speakerphone and we could both hear everything he had to say, and he basically called me every curse word, a "stupid f*cking ***" and many other choice phrases. I was in tears by the time I hung up, and that agent that witnessed the whole conversation quit that day and never came back. I have since moved on to greener pastures and bid farewell to Amerilife.....

I am still in contact with some of the agents there, and I had posted my experience with Amerilife in another thread, and I guess word got out about it what I "posted all over the internet" and caused some commotion at the office. Ha ha.

I did run into my boss though since then, and he told me I could've been so successful, and found new agents to "train" or "ride with" (i.e. steal their clients) and split commissions on big policies or annuities. Yeah right, you mean take advantage of a new agent's warm market.

I am soooo happy with my agency now, no mandatory meetings, no more walking to the front of the class and writing a big "X" on the board in a red marker if you didn't sell anything the previous day (extremely humiliating), and I get treated with RESPECT, Ameri life sucks, and anyone who says otherwise is ignorant. That's the truth.

I was a 1099 Agent for Amerilife for 1 year. It was my first full year in the insurance industry. I should have not continued in the Insurance business after this. I have now found a great Agency I am an extremely hard worker from NY. I decided to stay in the insurance business to right this wrong.
I can only speak to what happened in the State of Florida in this one office. I will leave the office anonymous at this juncture. Amerilife hires agents via 1099's. BEWARE of the 8 hours of paperwork you must sign. I am extremely intelligent but boy was I stupid. Because just signing these papers take 8 hours, Amerilife is sure you won't read everything you sign. I had a friend, that when he read thee, he ran. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE.
I was the offices' top writting Agent,a 4 time Agent of the month. I made their National publication for being in the top 5% for renewal monthly checks, October was for $904.00. They anonouced it in their (BRAINWASHING) morning meetings. When I asked where the money was the managers became angered. I never received these monthly checks. I was making $25.00 to $100.00 dollars a week as I put in 60 hours and spent $100.oo a week on gasoline for my car. They gave us no money for mileage. My sister, a successful business owner in NY said how can you be so stupid to work for a company a year and not get paid. Truth is, I beleived everything the woman mgr. told me, and her side-kick, the new mgr. I almost lost my home. When I was crying the woman mgr. said to me "if you don't stop, get out of my car.
The mgrs at Amerilife don't want you to stay with them, they get to keep all your first years commission and renewals, so it's a revolving door. You are worth more money to them if you leave after a year.
Everyone asked me why I didn't go after them for the money, as we all know, it takes money to hire a lawyer. I WILL pursue justice.
If you are cotemplating working for this Agency- don't believe their recruiting tapes. They made us, at our expense, travel hundreds of miles to go to their brainwash meetings. Please look elsewhere. I wish someone would of warned me of this company. this has been the biggest career mistake of my life.

That sucks... Not sure if you're in the Tampa Bay area, but if you are, tell your former a-hole boss that he can find the guy thats been replacing his crap policies the last 4 years right here on this forum

30% of my business is replacing Ameri-life. Any client with Ameri-Life is a slam dunk sale

The same thing happened to me, but I got smart after 4 months!! The worst job I ever had. I left there over a year ago and so happy I did. I make more money in one week then I did in 4 months with this shady company. I haven't worked for them in a year and a half, but yet they sent me a 1099 for the year 2010!! Haha,,I already called the IRS on them because they won't return my calls or emails. Dirtbags they are!! Still a thorn in my side after all this time. They will be sorry, too many people are after them and I'm sure we will be reading about them in news!!!
Anyone who says they're a good company and honest is either stupid or just like them!!
