I don't think your working with the same ameri-life we're talking about. If you get your commissions straight from Foresters,that would'nt happen with Ameri-life group. The agency we are talking about has you sign "the blues" which is a non compete contract saying if you leave they get to keep your money and you can't contact any client you wrote while "employed with them". They pay you a percentage of the commission while waiting for the policy to get approved, then you get the remainder if they have'nt taken all their fee's out by then. You are always behind the eight ball with this company.
It's like Hotel California, you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave!! Your held hostage by the $ "you owe them" . I am waiting for a bond statement from them so I can see where I owe them. They are trying to hold me up from working by saying I owe them, which is not true,and insurance companies won't contract with me as long as I am on the VECTOR list. You are much better off through an FMO and companies that pay as earned. This way there are no guesses and you know exactly what your making.
It's amazing how they can really mess with your life. Stay tuned, I am trying to start a class action suit against them and I have 100's of former ameri-life agents waiting to jump on!!!

Just doing some leisure reading this morning and came across this post which is two years old and saw the Hotel California reference, which I brought up last week afterreading it on another thread on another forum about AmeriLife.

Maybe this is what irriatated Longtimeagent- again, please excuse the old reference.

Of course, it is still relevant today, unfortunately for many.

David Rainwater is the new CEO replacing Tim North. Could it be that this remark is from the Amerilife CEO??? I have recently been in his company at several functions and found him to be neither friendly and welcoming to new agents nor innovative. I left after only 4 months...much of time time was spent putting out fires that previous crooked agents caused....and ironically they became management...so I got the big picture....the more you mess with people and screw them the better you are viewed by the upper snots of Amerilife. Don't even think about joining Amerilife....xyzN...xyzN...xyzN AS FAST AS YOU CAN

Yes, his contracts were through Amerilife.

I hope this irritated him ! I still follow this thread believe it or not and I'm still stunned by how many people are drinking the Ameri-life kool-aid !! This crap is still going on and I have not heard from enough people to start a class action against them. I'm finally able to contract with ALL companies I want and my bond is gone. I haven't given them a dime out of my pocket, but they kept all my renewals which proves what I wrote was still in force. They so corupt, I can't believe they're still in business!! Do yourself and everyone you know thats an agent and warn them to stay away.......far away from Ameri-lies!! It takes too long to get your life back..........

Its interesting reading the postings from individuals on this forum. Its quite obvious that most of these individuals have failed and are looking for someone to blam other than themselves.

I have been with the company over 23 years and have many colleges that have been with the Amerilife 5, 10, 15, 20 years and have had a wonderful career. Its provided great products for there clients and provided a wonderful income to a great many families and put a lot a kids through college. If your looking for a great company and a long term career you could do a lot worst.

I will certainly try to keep posting, but I'm off to take my daughter in-law baby shopping . You see, I would never be able to do this if I worked for Amer-lies!! I make so much more money with half as much work. I don't go to meetings every morning, I make my own schedule and buy my own leads. My leads, however are not recycled !!
