Its been a while since I last used these guys but do plan to run with them pretty soon. I can sure put up with some headaches and bs for the monster renewals they offer.

I do recall their interview being rough and am planning on sending them mainly my most healthy prospects. I know they have a sweet spot for COPD folks but what else? For folks with what conditions should I avoid Assurity?

Also I know they only pay twice a month which is odd. But is the pay cycle based on issue or draft?

Use them all the time , never a problem... Don't judge a company by a few interviews/applications, it takes a few dozen before you can decide which ones work well...

Had diabetes, COPD, wasn't a smoker.

Boy did they grill the sh*t out of him.

Most frustrating experience ever.

I personally don't have time to fool around with numbnut carriers that can't squarely tell me, in less than 15 minutes, whether or not a simplified issue case is a go or no.

It ain't that complicated.

Remember, your carrier selection reflects your expertise, or lack thereof.

Like I said it has been a few years since I have written with them. I remember the interview being more in depth than with most others but in getting back in the saddle with them I plan to only send them the ready stuff until I get a better feel for how they will handle things.

Back to when they pay commissions - is that on issue or draft/policy effective date?

They pay every 2 weeks. I think the draft has to already been taken out, but I'm not sure.
