Bankers Life and Casualty?

Re: Bankers Life and Casuality

I was always advised to stay way from Penn Life, due to the fact that your "upline" always stills your commissions.

How do you still a commission? Any upline basically steals your commission unless they are helping you with training or marketing. The place I worked really chopped the agents commission but I learned a lot. I sold FIA there and got paid 3.5% commission. Street level through a FMO was 8%. WOW. So if I sold a $100k annuity, I recieved $3,500, they recieved $4,500. Something's wrong when they make more off of your sale than you do.
But, I did recieve good training and lots of leads for a short time.

Cakes, learn all you can learn then get out and open up you own shop give yourself three years and by then you should be able to do this on your own.

Re: Bankers Life and Casuality

Thank you everyone for your replies. Leads are generated via their direct mail system, which I would pay $100 - $200 per month. Guess I need to think this through before my Monday interview.....Thanks again.

Cakes...I went throught BL&C...sorry I did(for what little training I received)...left there, went independent ... have never looked back.

If you're looking for training...go to a captive company that will pay you for 3-6 monthes, (ex. Country Companies...)work there for 6mos - 1 yr, for the training only....then run...don't walk, and go independent(if you can discipline yourself)....you'll never regret it.

Three years is way too long to wait to go independent unless you will be fully vested by then. If not, you will walk away from a lot of renewal money and most likely will find that you can't afford to do that and start all over again.

You should be able to learn the basics of everything you need to know in three months.

I would also suggest that you stay away from Bankers.
