Best FE Company

Yes I know some of the regulars on here like to bash Foresters but claiming they are the bottom of the barrel is just not true. It is very misleading and a huge overstatement of the facts.

Yes, I have had trouble with Foresters from time to time. Mostly it is because of a rookie college kid woring in customer service who just plain drops the ball.

I have been in the business for 4 years and have used lots of companies here based on recomendations of others. Some of them pan out and some of them don't.

I for one find Foressters to be much easier to work with than Americo. And the pricing for non smokers anyway is very close. I like knowing when I leave the home the policy is approved. With Americo that doesn't happen. Americo had changed my level submissions to graded or modified on numerous occassions. I don't like going to a website on a daily basis to check up on my deals. With Americo you must do that. I had one sitting there with a stip for 20 days. How hard is it for Americo to send out emails notifying you of a glich with an app? SNl, Foresters, Vantis, UHL and others all do it. And yes I know JD says he does it on a daily basis. I don't. I would much rather deal with a company that when I send in an application will let me know viua email if there is a problem.

At least with Foresters you know that while your still at their home. Forresters also always send out notices on the applications as to comfirming they received the app and the ongoing status.

It seems JD and newby have a hard on with Foresters and that is their porogative, but the fact is there are lots of agents on this site using them with great sucess.

'A couple of weeks ago I had an issue with Americo and when I called in I was told one thing and that is what I did. Then the next day I was told I did it wrong. You can call Americo and get three different answers to the same question.

While I respect both Jd's and Newbies oppinion most of the time, I feel in this case they are over stating how bad Foresters is to deal with.

That is my opinion

While I use both Foresters & Americo, although (for separate reasons) I have a problem with both. Foresters pricing is just middle of the road, its decent, nothing to write home about...and there's certain niches they have that are good at times! Overall they have been solid, CS sucks at times & I worry about them paying claims just base don the stories here.

Americo on the other hand has been good, I put all my smokers with them. My comm structure with them thru EFES sucks, and the lack of communication, like nfl pointed out, sucks. I had a case approved, issued & PAID to me back in early Jan. Before it was issued they had to ask about a question I forgot to mark No on the app, but did ask the client...so I replied to their email that it was answered NO. Sometime after issuing & paying me for it, they required me to get the client signature for that question I didnt mark, but never informed me at all. So about the 2nd week of March they sent me an email saying it'll be canceled if a signature isnt required & attached the form...1st I had heard of it! They never started charging the client, never made it effective! I was livid, they said it was posted in the back office....who does that? Who issues & pays u on a policy that dont put into effect? So I had to get a signature & inform the client it wont start til March now.....Thats just stupid! Other then that, no problems with Americo!

I don't have a hard on for Foresters or any company. I dislike them all equally. They are simply an end to a means and Foresters makes it a harder road to get to that end.

I've been contracted with them for almost 8 years. I know thier excuses as well as they do. if someone likes writing them then more power to them. They will learn in time.

My personal dislike of Foresters comes from my 1st hand experience of their arrogance and lack of any concern with the handling of a death claim and dealing with the beneficiary who was a special needs person who had just been thrust into the world alone for the first time. They eventually paid the claim because it was a completely clean case. I had had numerous other customer service problems with them before but that was the final blow.

I don't expect agents that are having a good experience with them to drop them over my story. But with proper feedback from agents it does help put our guards up if you start noticing problems and it might encourage you to act quicker. And it could even shame a company bad enough that they actually try to clean up their act. That one won't get a 2nd chance with me though.

The good news is, I have no Foresters policies out there that are contestable so I will never have to deal with them on a claim ever again. All the policies can be assigned to ForeThought or some other assignment company and let them deal with Foresters.

And for the record, I never was one of the agents ever singing the praises of Foresters. Even though I had a huge commission contract with them (still do as far as I know), they were pretty disappointing from my very first apps.

I've had a total of three death claims with Foresters and all three were within 2 years of the inception date. 2 of them were within 6 months. Although 2 of them were very suspicious as far as answering health questions accurately, all three were paid.

And those FREE member benefits are 2nd to none! I truly enjoyed the free tickets to the Pistons game. If only they had kicked in a little to help support my drinking habit. I think I spent at least $150 on beer and a pretzel.

You sir are just not able to distinguish yourself from the biases and ignoramisis of nonsensicial forum shenaginaguns complemented on the dignified American Insurance agent and streaming right through the public and ending up in our sacred water supply.

I suggest that you tweek the prescription up a notch or sit closer to the chalkboard lest some of this edumocation might go right past you and spill down into your Doc Martins and cause you to make squishy noises when you walk.

Newby, I would give this post a ten. Thanks!

Is that your weekly budget for beer?
