Best Go to Carrier

My two goto companies are Mutual of Omaha and Transamerica.
Mutual of Omaha will take insulin diabetics as long diagnosed after age 50.
They do not have a phone interview and pay on issue. I wrote a case last Monday 12-29-14 and the client received the policy the following Monday 1-5-15.
That is their typical turn around time. They have become more friendly on underwriting than their were in the past.

You can say that again! :)

I am looking at the newest Prescription Guide
REV: 02/28/2014
for ages 45 and up.

Humalog and Humulin Over 2 years-Preferred

That means they have been off insulin for 2 years then it's prefer.
Last section of questions on app says "used insulin"

Here is the worst of that, they have the copd question a couple questions later so if they answer yes to insulin and yes to copd they can't get standard.

LBL standard with insulin, COPD, & Diabetic complications, with heart problems.

Oh I just randomly picked something. I can't have Oxford because I live in the piece of **** state of Mississippi so I was just testing it.

Oxford was my go-to carrier in 2014. Oddly, I'm not sure if I want to use them as my first choice this year. There are quite a few carriers that make me say "I'd really like to use ______carrier if it weren't for..._________". I really wish I could use Trinity, but they're not in my state. I like SNL but their comps are so-so. I like Trans but the app sucks and I always seem to forget to have the PI sign that stupid new beneficiary form (I hate that thing)..plus their website gives me anxiety. I'd like to use 5-Star but I'm pretty sure their employees want to disembowel every agent.

I think there are some good carriers out there that if they had any sense at all could dominate the market if they could fix one or two seemingly simple things. I was totally ready to use RNA as my main carrier in 2015 until they did that new change...meh...no thanks. I'll use it as a last resort now. Aetna, has it's purpose...but not a Lead-off carrier IMO. Oxford is looking pretty good again I guess. Is it just me or have those PHI's gotten longer, and more rigorous over there?

I would give RNA another look... Paperless phone interview has improved and down to 20 minutes. Commissions paid same day if completed before 2pm... Next day if after 2pm. (I believe 2pm was the cut off time)

how can you have a carrier as a "go to" than dings commissions 15 pt ( or more based in your contract ) age 76-80 in addition to the bigger ding over 80 with still more significant reductions on graded????--------------that doesn't leave much sweet spot?????? ( now ill stand corrected if they may have since adjusted commissions since those over-the-top reductions that drove me off paying no attention to them since--------I laugh at their never-ending back to back to back contests to try to gain biz they ran off with commission cuts). With such limited sweet spot on commissions I have to consider them "nitch"

I don't run into too many 76-80 year olds.

If I do and RNA is the only fit I'll take the cut.
