Best Way To Build My Business As A New Agent

I understand that I do not have the license yet, but in 2 months I will and I would like to think ahead. Some of you I have talked before have great insight...others I see are worthless with sarcasm and I don't have the time for.

And you know who you are....

That being said....yes I don't REALLY have to produce an income starting out however I am not going to stop working and would like to know the marketing strategies to start out.

Let's see now....you come on a public forum....and think you are going to dictate the tenor of the replies you're going to get? Rich. You're obviously primed for a long and illustrious career in the insurance biz - if you ever get a license.

Save yourself a lot of headaches by scrapping the idea of getting your health license. At least at the start. Start with Final expense life insurance. Then decide how you are going to solicit business. If you work at becoming a very good prospector, you will not have to buy "leads". You do this by cold canvasing the poorer neighborhoods, and you ask for referrals. You won't always get them, but you keep asking anyway. Most agents buy "leads" on a regular basis to be certain that they always have someone to talk to. If you do not have anyone to talk to, you are in effect out of the business until such time that you do have some prospects to talk with and tell your story. This should give you something to ponder for a while as you go through your process to get licensed etc.
