Brand New! Having Success!!! Need Advice ASAP!

You're saying Efes is keeping you in 30 leads a week in 3 smaller counties in Ga ages 55-75 and income levels $15-$50k? Now if you're working Gwinnett county no big deal but if that's smaller counties that's impressive.Obviously efes is just mailing 2-3 times the vol Rgi was and they keep the extra over 30 leads in reserve to even out your weekly allocation. Then you get into how old the leads are that in reserve. The problem in Ga is you have North American,Senior Life,Securus and Lh mailing it heavily and thus returns are diluted.
Thats not a bad thing, that is good replacement inventory lol

So does efes have some "special sauce" on their mail piece to get higher returns ? I suspect they're just mailing at a much higher volume and keeping the extra's in reserve to keep the flow level. As we know this is a tough business. One of efes's top guys who used to be on this board is no longer in the business as far as I know.In the end its about what you keep after all expenses and chargebacks and not what you Gross.

Since companies like EFES do their own In-House mailings, they decide if the agent is producing enough in order to keep dropping the mail. As long as their profit is good, then they will send out as many pieces as it takes to get that agent his leads.

The problem that we all have is that the returns will NEVER go up and will ALWAYS go down, each time mail is sent to a given area.

I have recently committed to expanding my area in order to keep my lead flow consistent and also to make sure that I can get leads in a few years from now.

No special sauce on the mail piece...they just have a ton of data. Chase has been working with at least 5, but I think he said 8 different data sources to get more names of people to mail.

RGI has a large mail-out agreement with a Large agency that mails out the entire state and every person every 60 days.

That's the main reason RGI-affiliated agencies perform so poorly in getting both (a) lead flow consistent, and (b), lead flow consolidated.

EFES provides territorial exclusivity, which is absolutely necessary for continued, concentrated lead flow working anywhere in Georgia.

Although I've been getting leads fairly consistently in north Georgia through 360 without much issue... So far.

That last paragraph is not only surprising but kinda shocking as well.

I think you are absolutely right. Eventually with subsidized leads the profit won't be there for the companies. It will only be so long until the cost is greater than what their front end profits will be.

This is why most actual carriers don't offer leads. The agencies do.

Returns will always go down.

I have been dropping the same zip codes every 60 days for over 8 years. About 100 zip codes in CA

I have changed pieces many many times. Color, words , font, envelopes, even different graphics and borders. And of course filters. Data is the most important.

Some changes might increase rates for a few drops. But they always go down.

I don't see direct mail as a long term financially sustainable source. Especially now that more and more agents across more industries are using this type of marketing.

Not to mention the legal risks of having an in house mail system. One big lawsuit could break the system

Returns will improve once we have the balls to politically take the USPS out back and shoot it, figuratively-speaking.

Once postage doubles or triples to where it should be, you'll likely see a dramatic change in how Direct mail is used.

Rearden is Securus the agency mailing the state every 60 days? Does Rgi have statewide agreements with other agencies in other states? If you place an order with Rgi and they mail the state every 60 days is your order going out separately? Its seems that they just blanket the state and sell you what's in their inventory.
