I work for Brokers Alliance. If an agent is writing lets say 10k a year in term insurance @ a 90% contract. The commission would be 9k, through Elite Producer it is easy to write up to 128%. The commission on the same amount of business would be $ 12,800 using the same carriers.

This program makes a lot of sense to a lot of agents, if anyone has questions feel free to ask me.

Costco is a bad example. You have to pay them to shop there.

A better example is ReMax realty. If you "qualify" as an agent you can become a ReMax agent - they pay hefty fees PER MONTH to be part of the ReMax system, but their commissions are significantly enhanced. ReMax brokers make very little in overrides on commission sales - most of their income is from the agents renting space.

It works - and I think that is what more and more L&H marketing firms are shifting towards.
