Call Center ??? - Cold Calling Script for FE / SIWL

It is not illegal to cold call via tele-sales for SIWL . . . Medicare Advantage - yes. Life Insurance - no. Just have to scrub list against the DNC list and no robo calls . . .

They can be called again - just can't have that number listed on the DNC list . . .

Great idea. I'm sure the Closers will call their clients since they get the over-write on the policy.

Thanks for your response Ryan . . .
As usual you are wrong again, I will let Ryan respond also.

in regards to the retention, i tried letting the agents do it for 2 years and CC agents are different that field agents... they simply don't look backwards like they should... my persistency increased by 12.5% when i took retention away from the agents and hired someone to do it... paid for itself in spades when i did that... just passing along what did and did not work for us...

i already said my peace
if he wants to do it his way he will learn
I spent 800K learning what did and did not work... i wish someone had told me
either way glad to be out of the CC game and back to working with the field guys

I am 100% sure that my statements above are correct on the calling procedures in 2018.

Please show me where I erred?

Thanks Ryan. 12.5% increase is a lot of money to keep . . .

this is not a debate i really want to be involved in

you would have to sit in the room with my Lawyer and discuss it with him, half the stuff that comes out of his mouth doesn't make sense to me either but we pay him to keep fines away... those 10K fines can add up quickly when your dialer is on

I'm not aware of any law nor regulation that dictates that someone can not be called to solicit Life Insurance unless that person's phone # is not listed on the DNC list.

If so - please enlighten me? Can you point me to a document, link and/or ruling that would verify this?

So - your reference to legality was concerning using a "dialer" ? Not the actual call itself? I'm 100% positive that cold calling for SIWL is not "illegal". . .

Gary Prado has an awesome Dialer that keeps Agents in compliance with answer times, drops, etc . . .

But again Ryan, thanks for the reply . . .

You really do need to research your business more before you "jump" into it.

It's illegal for a telemarketer to:

  • Ask you to pay with a cash-to-cash money transfer — like those from MoneyGram and Western Union
  • Ask you to pay by giving the PIN from a cash reload card like MoneyPak and Vanilla Reload
  • Ask for your bank account information to create a type of check that you never see or sign. Those checks are called "remotely created payment orders."
This is just 1 of the reasons and laws you need to follow.

Ha - I'm sure there is a huge difference between a telemarketer and a licensed insurance agent . . .

If the above was the case - nobody could sell over the phone.
