Can I sell in states that I am not licensed in?

"There are 39M people in California. Have you run out of prospects already?"
Maybe before making a snarky comment, you may want to read his original post.
Everyone in this business started somewheres, do you ignore potential prospects that have called you?

I am brand new, just became licensed in December. I'm in a unique situation because I have a list of people awaiting coverage so I am learning as I go and continuing to educate myself in between.

Splitting with a agent solves the problem for now

I dont think splitting solves it. not sure the carrier can or will put you on the case for it to be split. Then, even if the licensed rep decided to pay you directly, that likely is a violation of the laws of the state for paying an unlicensed person & many carriers state in their selling agreements that all parties being compensated in any manner need to be disclosed to carrier, licensed & appointed.

Best to check with upline, but the above is what I have seen in regard to the laws & the carrier sales agreements in many cases.
