Not in the slightest. As a matter of fact, it made things a little easier to get rid of them. I always felt like I had to appease them. Now it's anything but that. Feels good!

If you were to ask someone there they would have probably told you that I didn't hold back on saying anything to them. That would actually be wrong though. I held back a lot of stuff, but now I don't have to!

According to this page, NGL has purchased or administers policies from those companies. In the case of kentcuky Home Mutual, they owned them at one time. However, LH is notwhere to be found on the page.

Kentucky Home Mutual was also owned by BCBS. Perhaps NGL acquired them or just administers the policies. Still wonder why LH is on that list.

Has anyone bothered to ask them specifically? I know I'm part of the reason this came out because I tried to 1035 a citizens security policy (owned by NGL) and they didn't know they couldn't do that for weeks.

I write a fair amount of business but I HATE when companies say "oh this only happens to you" or "oh, we've never had this happen."

If I said as a paramedic "oh, this never happens" and just watched you die would that have been ok?

Found the answer: "Effective January 1, 2011, NGL acquired through a 100% coinsurance agreement with Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company a block of 59,000 preneed life and annuity policies with $136.7 million in reserves."

Just confirmed it they own a block of their business and you can't replace Lincoln Heritage with Settlers.

There has to be other situations where some of the big companies or even the small ones reinsure each other and we don't know it. Or it's such a non-issue that they don't care and enforced such silly rules on the independent salesforce.

Well, with the rate increase, the Silver now is priced almost the same as LH....

What other companies have no HT and WT and charge tobacco rates only to cigarette smokers/
