Can't Replace LH with Settlers? - Internal Replacement?

He is talking about the fact Settlers assumed LH's reneed businss when LH withdrew from that market. Even though they didn't buy any of LH's FE, they still won't acept a replacement on it.

Isn't that just stupid unless as part of the sale LH got that concession which also would be stupid.

It would take a whole lot of replacement business to equal the premium on 59K preeneed cases. I am sure they don't mind not replacing LH.

Yeah, they don't mind.....but the agents now have to put that business somewhere else. Just another example of a "Partner" not being a partner.

Settlers was never available in my states so I never had the chance to use or learn about them. Did they have some sort of special competitive niche? Was it pricing? I have no idea.

Their Silver plan is Level and has no height/weight question. They do have a few health niches, but I haven't used them in a few years and can't remember what they were.

They have a POS PHI with a decision before you go. I knw a lot of agents don't like POS's, but I do. I want to know before I go.

Even after they rased there rates, they still have the best Single Pay rates in most cases.

This is what I was saying recently that I have come to learn what Settler's means by "Partner". What they really want is a marriage where you don't cheat. When they deem you don't give them enough attention they want a divorce. In other words, it's pretty much a one sided relationship. They want Yes Men.

So are you saying that though you are Independent, Settlers wants you to "ACT" Captive

My understanding is LH is kind a weird place, they are Very in House with everything they do and want everything done there way. High Priced but they have an added feature where they have a program that works directly with the Funeral Homes. Therefore essentially adding a service to the client where they wouldn't have to worry about any arrangements while they grieve.

But I have heard they have an Independent Side, which has a weird system to it. I know people have worked there and they said it reminded them alot of Bankers Life.
