Changes from 2015 to 2016... Rules, Premiums, Plans, Exchanges, Etc.

Stealing a line from someone I know. But, "I saved $2500 this year on my health insurance premiums.......
by not paying Nov and Dec" :D

I just love this paragraph in that article:

Now Kansans will only have four other options to select from in the exchange including: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Kansas Solutions, and — a brand new provider for 2016 — UnitedHealthCare of the Midwest.

So, in other words, it's Blue Cross or UHC.

Lady and fellow agents... Is this what you're finding in your state(s)?

"The HHS analysis also found that nearly eight in 10 people who had marketplace coverage in 2015 will be able to purchase health insurance that costs less than $100 per month for 2016, once the law's monthly tax credits are applied. About seven in 10 returning consumers will be able to buy a plan for $75 per month in 2016 with tax credits. "

Maybe HHS is itemizing the premium per family member?

Forbes Welcome

Moda out of ..............gas in WA and CA

Moda to shut down in two states after health insurance setbacks | OregonLive.com

Moda Health Plan Inc. is pulling out of the state of Washington and will soon do the same in California, the latest sign of turbulence at the Portland-based health insurer.

Moda, one of Oregon's largest health insurers, has suffered two consecutive years of losses, a depletion of capital and heightened regulatory scrutiny after an aggressive push into new insurance markets mandated by the Affordable Care Act proved a financial disappointment.

Moda learned earlier this month that it will receive only $11 million of the nearly $90 million it was expecting from the federal government to cover costs related to the Affordable Care Act.

Well I thought my premiums would drop by 3,000% so welcome to the liars club.
