Client that calls repeatedly

Transfer the client to the insurance company as a house account or to another agent. It is not worth the time and effort that a client like this takes, not to mention the fact that they ruin your day when they call you. Over a 25 year career, I have done this with about 12 clients, and it is amazing how much getting rid of these time and energy sucks will improve your life. With the worst one, the last I heard, he was on his fifth agent in 5 years.

Reimbursement for the license fee is not something that I would expect, and I wouldn't accept it, but that was very thoughtful of you.

The bizarre thing about his case is that he would do all of this for a $25k annuity. There is too much liability, and not enough commission, unless you're doing it full time.

As a part timer in annuities, I find it difficult to take on the responsibility for under $50k Premium, and the client has to at least have some annuity experience, or I pass on it.
Thank you for taking the time to make that post.

At the time, I considered this:

"As a part timer in annuities, I find it difficult to take on the responsibility for under $50k Premium, and the client has to at least have some annuity experience, or I pass on it."

to be something of an aside.

Recently I found it to actually be a very useful materiality guide to develop a compromise between sale amounts respectful to an agent effort and a desire on my part to get some kind of spread of purchase amount between companies.
