Cold Calling to Set Appoinments for Final Expense Script

Let's demystify this FE is life insurance and I sell a lot of term and simplified issue over the phone. It's just a small whole life policy there is no mystery. The key is the list if you wish to do phone sales and an auto dialer. Use tech to your advantage and compress time frames. Easy way if you wanted to do final expense is buy 500 Aged leads you will get a sale per 50. Avg sale cost 50 - 75. This isn't rocket science it's just numbers. With electronic applications and emailed or voice verified signatures how difficult is this really lol In my prior life I was a stockbroker and that was mostly telesales in reality,

What time of the day are you typically calling aged leads for term insurance?

Cold calling for FE does work if you have the right script. The reason that the folks on this thread are having so much trouble is that they are doing what one of my early mentors would call "going for the bra too fast", that is, they are asking for permission to come over to the prospects house within the first 30 seconds of the conversation.

Even when you get your calls perfected, another problem is that you can't be on the phone generating leads and running appointments at the same time, so before long, you will need a telemarketer.

Every time that I hired a telemarketer the best week that they ever had was their first week. Not long after that they would start to burn out and I would have to find another telemarketer. You also can't simultaneously hire and train a telemarketer while running appointments.

I think I was planning on making a point somewhere...but oh well

Cold calling probably does work. Everything will work sometimes. It's not very cost effective unless your time has no value.

I've used the term Life Ins if the lead card said it on it but with cold calling you need to take a easy approach.

I don't prospect for anything but FE and I say I'm calling about life insurance even if the lead card card doesn't say it. I don't want to go meet with people that don't know I'm coming to talk to them about life insurance.

Well, that's ok but it's better for business to be up front and honest with people about why you're calling instead of tricking them into believing that you sent something through the mail that you really didnt. Folks has sense enough to know that you're wanting to sell them something, but it's our job to evaluate their needs, rather than sell them something that they don't need, and lose the business to another agent that did what was right.

Will he listen to you? That post is 6 years old.
