Need to know if their product is competitive and do they have a No Questions asked Graded Benefit for 2 years in North Carolina. If not, can you recommend a few companies.
Thanks folks:idea:

When I looked at them a couple of years ago they were middle of the pack on FE rates. Not unsellable but nothing special.

I don't know about their graded benefit in NC. I think NC has some state laws against graded benefits. Even the ForeThought Select was not Guaranteed issue there.

Newby; preciate the quick reply. NC does allow No Questions Asked Graded Benefit products with 3 year wait. Not sure about the 2 year "No Questions Asked". I'm looking for the 2 year product with no questions if available. Anyone else; help!!

Columbian does not pay you on the policy fee, which will take $3.50 (I think it was) off of the premium you sell on each case. This adds up when you're writing 6-10 cases a week. I went from Columbian to Foresters, which has better rates and does pay you on the policy fee - more of a win/win.

Daytona Guy. when you were there did they have a 2 year graded benefit product with "no health questions?". Need to know. I have a 55 year old lady that's 4'11 at 330 lbs, but otherwise in good health, but can't get standard issue with my group. Many companies have the 3 year graded benefit, but I'd feel much better with a 2-year product. Gregg; is the commission structure pretty good with your company? How about rates for the consumer; for example $10K on the lady described above?

No Height/Weight Chart with Health Questions
Fidelity Life - Graded Death Benefit
Foresters - Graded/Non-Graded

Guaranteed Issue:
Presidential Life - Graded

Just write the overweight ones with a company that doesn't care about weight.
Monumental, Royal Neighbors or Settlers Silver will all give her coverage without going to a graded policy.

No, they do not have a "no health questions" policy. Their graded plan still has qualifications to it.
They also now have a mx height/weight requirement where they did not before.

Foresters asks what their height/weight is to capture that for their data but there is not a H/W requirement so they're all approved if that's their only issue.

With Foresters, if she's non-smoker, it would only be $25.90 for $10,000 in first day coverage. Commission is 105% and the policies are issued within 48 hours. You know by the time you hang up with the quick phone interview if it will be issued or not - this is nice to know before you head out of the house. They now have DAILY pay, which is great, too. Their sales support people are all licensed agents and VERY helpful in helping you identify new sales opportunities whenever you call the sales desk.

If you need help or a contract with Foresters, let me know. They're great to work with.

Columbian, like most companies, is great in their niche. They're a great company in NY because they're one of the only true FE companies. Aside from not paying you on the policy fee (which I don't see as a real issue), aren't they're contracts usually pretty low? Not presidential low, but low?

Pres is a GREAT GI company.
