Columbian's GI ...

How does it compare to the Presidential, UHL, MOO, or Americo GI product? UHL's GI issue is steeply priced and the 4 yr wait is a turn off. Americo's GI rates are on par with car payments. I have MOO but since I am not captive with them I can't use their GI product.

I have a couple that I may see next week. The husband may slide through under Monumental's graded but if I can beat their rates and keep him at no more than a 2 yr wait, I would be stoked. He'd be looking at $75 mth with Monumental's graded for 10k. He's 52. Numerous heart attacks, stents, strokes, diabetes and uses Oxygen at night. Anybody know what an Ohio rate would be with Columbian's GI in this case???

Even if this case doesn't work out, I would like to have a GI in my bag that doesn't carry a 3-4 yr wait for similar cases.

No one will beat the rates on the MoO GI. And it's a true GI. It's 2 year ROP +10%. You can use it. I use it regulary. You won't get paid for it, but you can help your clients

Much better to put them in a good plan than to put them in a bad deal just to get paid a little bit.

I did not know this..I will be speaking to my IMO about that tomorrow. I asked them about the MoO GI months ago, they just told me that it wasn't available to indy agents....WTF...

The no commision is what it is I suppose. Last week I thought that I was going to run into a GI case. Husband and wife case, I wrote the wife up with Monumental a month ago but the husband got sick at that time and admitted back into the VA Hopspital. I spoke to the daughter and told her when he gets out , let me see what I can do. So the daughter calls me back once he came home and she mentions possible hospice. I called the local MoO agent/agency and said if I can't get this case done, could he wrap it up with that GI to help these people. I don't want a penny, no catch , I just want to make sure they are well taken care of..This frigging guy asks 5 mil questions like he's a Criminal Minds Detective. I told him up front the gyst of the guy's bad health ( really bad ) but this guy was clueless and they're a decent size agency. He said he rarely writes that product yada yada yada. So yeah, if I can take care of the person myself regardless if it's "pro bono", I prefer the ball staying in my hands.

Columbian New Century Senior Protector - 3 year wait with the exception of NJ, MO, WV.

Columbian's Graded FE product, which is not a GI, has a 2 year wait in all states

They have to get direct from MoO. It is not available to indy agents or captive MoO agents. It is sold direct to the consumer. You can help them sign up, but you are not the AOR.

You are incorrect Columbian has Two GIWL products; New Century Senior Protector in most States is a three year return of premium plus 5%. The MDO GIWL is a Two year return of premium plus 6% "There are a few State variations"

Please keep in mind CFG is not a dumping ground for GIWL. "please " please" mix your business with CFG.

We provide these product as a courtesy for our loyal producers.

Thanks,

The MDO GIWL is two year return of premium plus 6%
"there are some State variations"

The UHL and Americo are in general 30% higher in price than the Columbian pricing. "What is the trade off commissions"

Lower premium / lower commission

At one time I was told by one of these companies that they do not want their agents writing more than like 20% of their business on GI. Dunno if this is still the case. In other words, write mostly the normal WL plans, with only a few GI here and there.

HomeService, I believe you may be referring to Columbian's FE policy that offers Level and Graded.

Columbian only allows agents to put 33% of their FE submissions into the Graded program thus making certain that they are not loading up on adverse selection.

This is not the GI product.

Well, it was a couple years ago, so
I dunno if the rules changed since then. The policy types changed as well, I think.
