Come out, come out, wherever you are...

Whether it be "free Walmart gift card" or "new state regulated program" wording, the outcome is the same.

They filled it out for a reason other than because they're actively searching for life insurance.

... I have sold FE for 8 years or more and have never worked a 40 hour week. I leave my house Wed morning and return Thursday afternoon. That is my work week other than 2 to 3 hours on Tuesday scheduling appointments and faxing in applications... I also like the fact that I rarely work Fri, Sat, Sun or Monday...

I'm coming at this from the car business: 9 AM to 9 PM Monday - through Thursday, 9 AM to 6 PM Friday and Saturday, Sundays off. My leads have just started to come in today (not a full order but more than enough to get started). I am ready to put in as many hours as it takes to succeed. I admire your ability to produce as you do in such a short period of time each week. And I can't say that a part of me doesn't wonder what it would be like to have a three day work week and a four day weekend week after week. But then I remember that I have been happily married for nearly 23 years, and that would probably come to a rather swift end if I started hanging around the house with my wife for four days out of the seven.

State regulated ones like e-64 are as direct as any imo... People are looking for a lil burial plan, it's the agents that are hung up on calling it life insurance, which to many people means something else initially.

I have actually had people tell me, "I have life insurance but I need some burial insurance".

They're searching for a burial plan yes... but you forgot one detail...they're looking for one that's free courtesy of mutual of Obama. :D

Wanting something because it's free is different than wanting something enough that you'll pay for it.

Hey Daytimer.

I spent 20 years in the car business. I sold Toyotas for 14 years. Then I took an F&I job where they agreed to let me work 40 hours a week. I did that for 6 years. When it comes right down to it I never left a job for more money. I have always left for better working conditions, ie less hours. I did the mortgage thing for 15 years and then got into FE about 8 or 9 years ago.

good luck with FE

They think it's free because the card says it's free, because it is free. In fact, the way my practice is set up, not only is the information free, but I also provide a free consultation to explain the free information. People aren't in a buying mode anyhow until they feel they have at least a minimum amount of education on what it's about, that's where we slip in. :)

I agree. Well said.

My original comment on the e64 was directed towards comments about other lead types that note some kind of freebie... whether it be a free Walmart gift card or memorial guide.

I would say the prospect is in the same stage of the sales cycle that you described above whether they filled out an e64 Mutual of Obama lead or a free Walmart gift card lead.

A friend of mine sells water softeners to folks that fill out a mailer that says "fill this out for a free giftcard". It doesn't say a thing about what he's selling so the client isn't qualified at all. He made over $100k in 2017.

a friend of mine manages a water softener company out of Lansing. He has about 12 salesmen and the good ones make in excess of $250K. The low man on the totem poll makes 75K. they do travel most of the week and they spend lots of nights in a motel. Still big money.

They mail out cards for free water analysis.
