I keep mine in a mayonnaise jar on Funk & Wagnall's porch.

My 2 cents:
I store my personal files on a raid 5 external hard-drive. I copy the data monthly to an external hard-drive which I keep in a bank locker.
I do store a few password protected files on a cloud also.
