Confession - Insurance "IS NOT" Sales . . .

Why wouldn't you care how it comes across? Maybe you'd get even more emails if you were more tactful.

Do you act the same way with your clients?

And there's a big difference between how Bill Parcels comes across and Bill Belichick, one's totally arrogant, one's not.

Rob, I couldn't care less about how it comes across.

I have over 550 happy/satisfied clients (that pay my compensation), and I only care about how it comes across with them.

You're from New York, think about Bill Parcells for a minute. He may not be the most popular guy - but who has a more successful track record? Does he strike you as the kind of mamby-pamby sh*thead that runs for Congress - and cares about what people "think"?

I'm on here to tell it like it is, as opposed to those who worry about about how it looks, because they're on here pimping and trying to sell something to someone.

Do you want me to forward some of the emails I receive on a weekly basis thanking me for being objective?

LOL - I can understand the old hens feathers being ruffled - heck I caused it.

However - the thread intended to convey that insurance was way more than sales or being able to "close" a deal. Insurance is about believing in your product, yourself and also having your client believe in you too . . .

I'm an Entrepreneur first and foremost. I adapt to what I perceive to be changes in a market. My market is Insurance. I evolve and adapt at will and with no hesitation nor hindsight. Just because we move into a different arena doesn't mean we quit marketing our products. We still sell FE, Life, etc. The agents we have aboard are still doing whatever it is they want to do.

I could personally sell insurance all week long and make $250k a year. However - I'm trying to find that special something that is going to make me $25 Million a year . . .

Going into Health with a new mindset was the door opener for me to begin my quest for that $25M.

So - bash me all you want - I deserve it. the agents that contact me from this Forum understand the real Tom. To some I'm a breathe of fresh air. To others - I may be a big fat fart. What really matters is what are we doing to better our lives and the lives of those around us?

No matter what - guys like moon and potato peeler will do what they do, and guys like me will keep blazing new trails.

Peace To All . . .

Tom

You know Todd, I've never had a problem with your posts...until now.

You're partly right though, I know my stuff.

Unlike you, I have no axe to grind. I'm not on here pimping for agents for whatever crap it is that you're trying to sell.

My posts are objective. Your posts are designed to pimp. The readers can figure it out.

Paul,
So you can sit back and say that I'm "pimping" for agents and selling "crap" but you have no problem with that until I point out what a negative person you are? Did those strong words and feelings just hit you when I pointed something out to Rob and hurt your feelings or did you always feel that way? Oh wait, you couldn't have always felt that way because you said you had no problem with my posts until now....hmmm.
Let me take a moment to apologize to you. I thought you knew what a negative person you were, bashing anyone and trying to belittle them at every chance. Does it make you feel better about yourself to do that? I've always heard that someone who puts others down all the time does it because they have such a low self esteem. But now I know that can't always be the case, as I'm sure you have one of the highest self esteems a person could have.
In my defense though, I was only trying to support Rob in his effort to find the good in someone and at the same time I wanted to give a prime example by pointing out your product knowledge. I should have known that would be an alien concept to you and you would only see the negative part. My bad! Boy do I feel stupid! Thanks for pointing that out to me Paul....keep up the good work!

And there's a big difference between how Bill Parcels comes across and Bill Belichick, one's totally arrogant, one's not.

I think if you asked them, one of the main reasons for their success is that they really couldn't care less how they come across.

I'm sure both of them would be crushed with your characterization.

How do you quibble with either of their results?
