Confused About Finding A Decent Company?

Any advice on finding a local agency that is independent? I am interested in selling to the senior market. Working on getting my licenses. I am in Charlotte NC if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Go work for Bankers? That's the funniest thing I have read on it today. Why not work at goodwill instead? At least you will be helping people. Work for anyone except Bankers (and American Income, Monumental, and AGLA)

To be fair most captive shops run an agent mill throwing anyone with a pulse against the wall hoping some will stick.
