Consistent Income

Well please explain to me how you can consistently put in 5 hrs of prospecting each & every day but have dramatically different results.

I cannot. I seriously doubt that anyone could explain that.
However if you are doing as you say, then you can almost guarantee that you will be successful and have a large and consistent income. Just so long as you keep it up.

In my experience, some days you can speak to 10 people and make two or three sales,
(over time of course) other days you can speak to 50 people and get blown off every time.
Personally if I am having a bad day, I just say **** it, and just goof off for the remainder of the day.
Works for me, and I have survived in this business for over 17 years.

OK, but have you survived consistently?

Seriously, the key to success is this.

There is no key.

Hard work, working smart, working consistently . . . all have merit.

But if you are not doing the right thing you won't succeed.

Some can learn what works from a book or video. Most will have to grind it out themselves.

I have learned some of the best tricks by observing those who are successful and mimicking them.

I could watch Tiger hit balls all day and never be as good as he is, but by watching and practicing I can get a little better each day.

Cold calling 5 hours a day will eventually produce something, even if you are doing everything wrong. But by taking note of what works, what doesn't you will eventually get better and better at your game.

I agree with David do all your business as earned. Wish I would have done this 2 yrs ago when I started I would be in a better position right now.

Consistent income is acheived by paying yourself a consistent income. Sounds to obvious.

You want to make $5000 a month (or insert your number here). Make more than this, put it aside, then pay yourself $5K. On months you make less, you pull from the savings you have built up.

At the end of the year, you take all the money out, except for 2 months of 'reserve' income, and have a big party (invite me).

The problem is, most people want to pay themselves more than they make consistently.
