I agree with David do all your business as earned. Wish I would have done this 2 yrs ago when I started I would be in a better position right now.
Does a lot of your business fall off the books before 9 mos.?
Very little, but why bother?
I see no reason to assign my commissions to some crook who will tie up my residual and prevent me from writing through another IMO or going direct. BTW, I don't use IMO's. No use for any of them.
I am direct to all my carriers.

Seriously, the key to success is this.
There is no key.
Hard work, working smart, working consistently . . . all have merit.
But if you are not doing the right thing you won't succeed.
Some can learn what works from a book or video. Most will have to grind it out themselves.
I have learned some of the best tricks by observing those who are successful and mimicking them.

Cold calling 5 hours a day will eventually produce something, even if you are doing everything wrong. But by taking note of what works, what doesn't you will eventually get better and better at your game.
The stats you need to look at aren't from day to day. The better numbers to look at would be weeks and months. Consistency isn't measured from day to day, but what you do consistency over time. If over a period of weeks you are not averaging a certain result that you are looking for, it is time to meet with someone and go over what you are doing, or what you are doing wrong.Well please explain to me how you can consistently put in 5 hrs of prospecting each & every day but have dramatically different results.
