The prospect did not tell my partner that he would sue if one wasn't provided. The interpreter from the Deaf Resource Center stated their would be a suit if one was not provided.

Michelle surrendered her license in 1993, four years after her admission to the IL bar. Barry surrendered his in 2008.

I say the same thing. But, they are liable to have an attorney who is willing to file the paperwork just for $75 and it cost us a few hundred to several thousand just to acknowledge the fact that there is a law and an interpreter should have been hired. IMO this is a load.

Why not just hire the interpreter? It will cost about $50 an hour for the seminar.

Or...

Find a local school that offers sign language classes. Offer to pay someone who took the class to come and be your interpreter. Okay, they may not be any good, but it will get you off the hook for a few bucks.
