Dental Insurance For Seniors

I see this same comment posted on only 7 threads? You need more, much more. Also try the technology and hardware forums.

Unfortunately,

I have left a few posts past few days and no one has responded, so I figured I would scatter shoot. Any thoughts? Trying to get some good advice.

Jerard, I've been meaning to ask for awhile now....What are you doing in the closet all the time, I figure the husband must leave sometime.

I am in Charlotte and looking to get into insurance as a new career. I am tired of traveling away from home nightly covering 2 states in sales. I have spoken to Physicians Mutual over the phone. Have heard negative on old forum posts about them, but nothing is recent. I am interested in Senior Insurance. Any advice?

Physician's Mutual would be a SEMI-recognizable name but not a brand that most seniors are aware of. So if the brand doesn't sell it you need to sell on YOUR relationships you can develop on appointments and price.

Price is not going to work in your favor with PM. You are going to get killed if anyone price shops you.

The one thing I like on PM is their TV commercial is very good. Much better than the Lincoln Heritage commercial BUT that doesn't mean that it will generate better leads. It just looks more professional.

My recommendation is that if you want to go captive in the senior market I would think Mutual of Omaha would have more to offer. They at least have a recognizable brand AND usually competitive prices. Plus many more products to offer.

But you might be better served to find a local agency that is independent (the agency will sell many brands and you are captive under them). You will usually be much more competitive that way and make more sales.

Actually, he doesn't. He come home one day after being laid off and hasn't left yet. I'm in the hall closet so she can still sneak in here. But I like it...I found some old kid's toys and in here so I'm more than entertained. I also found that we (me and the wife) both like tight places so she joins me in here. We also both like spooning so I'm using that to start a tunnel under the floor. :)

Newby,

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. That was what I was thinking from reading various posts, but no one really seems to say it, like you did. Thank you.
