Desperately Need Door Knocking Advice

JD is right....his advice is better than mine, as you are a new agent.

My advice for door knocking...In town or rural, I've done it with FE.

1. Buy an age/street list or look for "old people's houses". Choose the right neighborhoods, you don't want the wealthy.

2." Hello, I'm _________________ . I help people with their life and burial insurance." I also carry a flyer, very plain, announcing my name and what I do, i.e. diabetic life ins and heart trouble etc.
3. As I hand them the flyer I ask, "May I come in?" Then move your feet as if you've been invited.
4. The longer you talk at the door the less chance you have.

I've done this, it works.
 
I sell FE and door knock all of my DM leads. Even with a copy of the response card in hand I still only sell 20% to 25% of them. People will deny they replied even though I have proof.
