Did you just lose your favorite fraternal?

Hopefully this is a lesson learned for agents out there to be careful about picking up little niche companies that are here today and gone tomorrow. There will always be a 'next best thing' in our industry, but it's the steady eddy's that win the race long term. KSKJ survived much longer than expected for sure but odds are good the Polish Falcon will be another casualty sooner rather than later. I talk to agents every day without a true system to go out and be successful, but they think having some magical product will fix their business. Some companies are better than others (especially the ones that do true social security billing), but there are plenty of successful agents writing horrible products, working resold leads, on low comp etc etc etc.

This post is just all over the place. KSKJ was solid for 8 years. Why shouldn't agents take advantage of good products while they last? Are you suggesting agents don't write PFA just in case they end up fizzling out?

Why not tell them to write Lincoln Heritage or Senior Life, since these are "steady eddys" with true SSB?

Cole,

many products have come and gone over the last 8-10 yrs and it's not a reflection of PFA, or KSKJ.

Tyler Rees once said 'people are more important then products' I think that's a key way to look at this too. Build relationships with people, learn, grow, adapt and expect adveristy.

2 fraternals axed agents last 18 months . The CO's you speak of changed products . The products can't be changed . Time will tell if kskj invokes the fraternal clause . Word on the street is Tyler Rees got canned because of the obscene money he was handing out to agencys .

The fraternal clause that you speak of doesn't exist. A fraternal can't just invoke anything.

And the companies they are speaking of went out of business in many cases. Or stopped offering products.

What other fraternal termed agents? And is that new? I was just termed by Oxford for no production. Had no idea Oxford was fraternal.

SNL terms agents all the time. Are they fraternal.

You got a fraternal obsession that's just unwarranted.

And how did we forget 5-Star Life?

Can a fraternal not give an assessment on all policys if they get in financial trouble ? If that assessment is not paid doesn't it reduce the death benefit? I recall a fraternal or 2 did this before . I thought that's been a discussion on here for yrs about that . Yes CO's ax agents all the time . Obviously the block of business fex wrote was no longer profitable. Persistency is a BS excuse . Even 80% overall is pretty good in fe . As I've said for yrs a combo of super low rates combined with very aggressive underwriting would get them . Look at slac and lifeshield. Still same rates last 10 plus yrs . But the underwriting very strict . A guy I know non fex agent had boatloads of early claims with Kskj . Even there standard rates beat most preferred rates .
