Direct Sales of Life Insurance Increasing

I go door to door residential all day everyday.

I live in a metro area of close to 2m.

I'm never going to run out of prospects........the number of households that I call on that tell me I am the first to knock on their door for life insurance is alarming.......I can't believe more people aren't doing it this way......its GOLD.

I'm shocked that people are receptive to strangers going door to door in this day and age. Awesome for you though...what metro area are you in? How many knocks do you do per day?

I go door to door in Austin, TX. The key is: I go to the more middle income areas, people are out in their yard, out on the porch. I see them out in the parking lot of the grocery store, things like this.

I'm in San Antonio, Texas.

Don't really get any resistance at all. I do the poorer neighborhoods as well.

I'm looking for someone near Pittsburgh to partner with to go door to door...not going to doors together....but maybe hitting housing plans and businesses. I want to learn how to do it right as opposed to just walking up to homes like I'm selling candy for a little league fundraiser..lol

Agent:"Hi,would you like to buy some insurance?" Homeowner:"No", "Agent"okay, thank you" (then walk away with tail between legs....lol

Try it, if you do it enough times, someone will talk to you about it......

Trying adding the question "why" and then see what the results are like.

It ain't pretty, but it does work.

Direct is best. IMO

Whether you are door knocking, setting appointments or selling over the phone, it all works. Whatever it takes to reach people.

Dont ask them IF they want to buy insurance, ask them, "you don't want to buy any (type) insurance by any chance do you (smile and be fun)"
if they say no ask them why and you will find out OR say, "may i leave my card in case you change your mind down the road"?
OR
"may i check back in 3 months to see how you are doing". (Nonconfrontational and builds a semiX date, and still give them a card"

I think newby and jmatsos have the best door knocking advice on here
