Disability Strategy

I am trying to formulate a business plan and strategy. I understand that disability would be difficult to sell on a part time basis, but it's got me thinking.

Is there a product that pairs well with long term disability?

Perhaps I could begin with an entry point product and then follow-up down the road with the disability strategy.

I saw some projections on 1 disability sale per week with the renewals and it got my attention. I have LTC insurance personally and as a married couple with no kids I really see the value, but I think the disability line may be a better niche and more affordable for most people. I personally know 4 of my close relatives who have it, but zero with LTC.

Any thoughts?

Product that pairs well with iLTD?

Professional Liability Coverage
Key Man Life

Individual LTD is for people that need to protect their income and don't have a policy at work.

I've done claims work for LTD... which is probably my favorite job in insurance...

Even when they get it at work, the people that actually pay for coverage, and not have their employer pay... are generally 60k+ annually.

Business Overhead with Assurity and Ill Mutual pretty good but claims are a bear. Principal is the best but more grey collar. The Radius with MA Mutual allows for small group discounts that once obtained are a marketing tool as you own the group. I use medical, law, engineering, and architects. My personal fave is environmental engineers. No one goes after em.
