DNA cancer screening tables are a medicare scam

myinsurebiz I don't get what you mean by saying agents will face financial ruin, we are just gathering data which the client agrees to on the submission forms. It's a mouth swab how is that criminal? We aren't processing anything and the client will be called by a teledoc or the results will be sent to the doctor of their choice. No agents won't literally stop doing MAPD plans my goal is to use the money I make from this to further market my MAPD business. Regardless, I believe residual income is the key and that's partly why I got into this business.

I was a little skeptical at first but from the research we've done it all checks out to me. I'm not saying there aren't scams going on scams happen everyday in the medical field but from what we've seen it's ok.

As far as the pay I'm referring to a new to Medicare person (not including residuals) and in Texas CMS pays $482 per person. The contract that I have will pay me more than that, I'm not sure what you were told in your contract (nor do I care) but for what I will make it's worth taking a look at to me.

I'm not here to convince you of anything or to prove a point, I like to help my fellow agents in the industry and that's what my post is about. You don't have to agree or like it but I'm giving you guys my facts based on what I'm currently doing. And the link from the email UHC sent out doesn't work anymore, we looked into that as well.

I will cut this off now I see you have a problem with reading and I wouldn't want to

Read this long and tiring thread and decide for yourself if the risk is worth it.

For the record, you''ll see that UHC sent an email a week or two ago about this being a scam, so I'm not sure how "MrMedicare101" claims their PPO is part of it.

And you will see the links on that UHC email don't work now. This thing is fairly new to market but good point on the UHC PPO I will confirm tomorrow we are having a training session.

MrMedicare101, UHC usually sends a retraction when they make an error - did I miss it?

And let us know after you "swab" how long it takes to get paid. I bet a lot of the so-called "labs" will find excuses not to pay, such as the DNA was tainted, etc.

BTW, how long have you been an agent? You sound rather green.

I like drinking cherry KoolAid AT HOME. Not in a prison cell with Bill Cosby, sharing Pudding Pops as well.

Seriously... Some of these agents are completely delusional, thinking they're going to be making money hand over fist.

I'm waiting to see if/when they get paid, then carted off to court then prison. But I'm sure the FMOs and MLMs have their lawyers in place, salivating to get paid.

Our agency has recently been introduced to this concept and just as many of you, we've had our concerns as well. However we are moving forward with the process, a broker from our upline was approached by the lab and she's been to the facility to meet with the staff.

Not everyone will qualify, the test will be administered by a genetics lab and not all plans are accepted. Original Medicare, Medicaid, PPO plans with UHC, Aetna, Humana, and Cigna will be accepted, not any HMO plans and no one under the age of 18.

The prospect must have 3 different people in the family tree (mother, father, sister, aunt, uncle, grandfather) with cancer and it has to be different types (lung, prostate, ovarian). However if the client themselves have had or has cancer then it's an automatic green light. It's a fairly new process for the lab so contracting has been slow and the commission can vary from lab to lab and your downline structure. I know I lot of FMO's are paying agents $300 across the board but we've chosen to pay more. Plus give you the opportunity to have a downline.

The opportunity is also open to non agents which would require an AML certificate and HIPPA. As a licensed agent you already have these certs due to AHIP, E&O and AML if you write life insurance.

The first payment takes 2 months to receive then after you are set up it comes faster. Our upline has submitted 12 swab kits, and I've done 4. The kits cost $35 but the lab is selling them to us for $10. Not sure if that's across the board, but this is how we are working things with our lab. Once I get paid I'll be sure to post an update and let you guys know. Carriers don't like this because it pays more than a MAPD plan and agents literally will stop producing Medicare plans and turn to this so I can see why UHC would be skeptical. Good luck guys I'll keep you informed.

In my opinion, this post proposes blatantly unethical use of the Medicare system by licensed insurance agents.
