DNA cancer screening tables are a medicare scam

myinsurebiz I don't get what you mean by saying agents will face financial ruin, we are just gathering data which the client agrees to on the submission forms.

When CMS and the Insurance Carriers claw back the money they paid out to the peeps doing the "swabs" - it's going to hurt. Better save that money . . .

It's a mouth swab how is that criminal?

Getting paid, or, accepting what could be deemed a "kick back" may be the criminal part.

Regardless, I believe residual income is the key and that's partly why I got into this business.

There is no residual money in swabs . . .

I'm not here to convince you of anything or to prove a point, I like to help my fellow agents in the industry and that's what my post is about.

You gonna help your fellow agents get into trouble.

Look - when this first came out - I jumped on it too. Then I sent all the information to y Attorney and they said run and run fast . . .

I hate to say this, it pains me, but @LostDollar called this out for what it's looking to be - a scheme. Not a good one either . . .

Iam interested in this that's why I join the thread on the topic...I used to be licensed as a Life and Health agent 15 yes ago and was looking to get back into it not so on the life side but on the auto side...The kind of clients and products I was dealing with burned me out although I did it back in the late 90's...So far am finding out that many companies are regrouping and making sure they are in compliance with Medicare...Yes this seems very lucrative as Cancer affects millions of families including my own but it ain't just about the money, more research is definitely needed and everything helps if we can eradicate it.. I will continue to follow this thread and others as I get closer to actually holding a test kit and receiving compensation...I need this to work.

Why not sell cancer insurance if that be the case... If you are determined to do the swabs, you could still do them. At least the product you would be selling would be related..

You are going to be dealing with Seniors a lot and I am not sure AFLAC does the 65+ ages... I wouldn't use them anyway.. For younger folks I like the Manhattan plan because of all the extras, especially the fact it pays for immunotherapy the same as chemo..That is all the advances in treatment are taking place today.. Keytruda that led to Jimmy Carter's healing from brain cancer is a immuo drug. Manhattan also has 25 dread diseases that are covered the same as cancer and some of them are treated with immuno. I was told that the largest treatment claim in 2016 was not a cancer claim but a $60K Lupus claim.

UNL has a decent plan that be issues through age 79. Washington National is also good.. These are expense incurred plans (with a lump sum attached) If you prefer a limp sum plan, there are lots of companies that have one available that will take older ages..

I like the UNL plan. The Manhattan plan's definitely a better plan because of the immunotherapy, but it seems a bit pricey for a cross sale to me. If I was only selling cancer insurance, that'd be the one to go with.

Depends on the age... Younger ages, <45, Manhattan is definitely the better buy becasue of the coverage for MS, MD, Lupus, etc. that are often diagnosed in children and young adults and are covered the same as cancer..(and all are treated with immuno these days) .. For older folks, especially >64, UNL seems to eb the vest of the two simply because of teh pricing..
