Do You Crossell or Specialize?

I always follow the 48 hour rule. I just ask if they have addressed the need to cover final expenses and we set a 2nd appt two days or more later if they want to discuss this topic and /or review their current plan. It is always two seperate appts.

We should be able to bill CMS for the extra gas and time spent making two appts.

I just upset at myself for not bringing up the subject of FE before to the MA clients. I have left a lot of $$ money on the table, but when I am working hard to follow up with as many people in my book of business as I can. It is strange how so many of them just recently bought the final expense policies with another agent and that is my fault for not bringing up the subject myself. Just one small FE policy a week will cover the cost of my leads every month.

CMS said you must wait 48 hours. They did not say how many minutes. It's like the no door knocking rule. Just knock on the window instead.

That is funny, but there was a group out of Dallas that came through Little Rock knocking on windows.

When u say do both, knowing the bottom of the barrel FE ppl wont most likely buy supps.....how do u target leads for both? Or do u have 2 separate lead sources for each?

I mostly did it through Med Supp mailers. When I did do FE mailers, I found the cross-sell opportunity to lack just a little, but it was still there many times.

No, I much prefer to work Ky. EFES just gets higher returns in In so that's where they want me to go.

All this Indiana & Kentucky talk reminds me of that video JD posted when 'Cuse beat Indiana....I posted that on my FB page, lol! That was HILARIOUS!!
