Geez - I could be as simple as looking back to how the free market dealt with seniors before Medicare.

I bet they were affordable plans packed with benefits. Maybe someone could research this.

Seems like the fear is how it is now. If my doctor saw me in Publix he would have no idea who I am and has seen me for 5 years. If they were paid more per patient they wouldn't slow down and see less people, they would consider it a raise, it's business.

As I said, let's not stop with seniors. 50 year olds get cancer and insurance is expensive. The govt. should provide everyone with insurance.

Why should socialism just start at age 65? I'm sure there are many independents that will agree with this.

Yep. I'm a capitalism and if the government makes available a way for me to make money, I'll take advantage of that.

Doesn't mean I have to agree with it and in fact would just switch to a new product if we end our socialist programs. It's something I'm allowed to do.

In fact, I've seen about 100 football games in the Rose Bowl, owned by the government. I don't agree with that either.

Perhaps a true libertarian would hold off paying taxes because we don't believe in public control of education. You know, the school your son goes to that is partially funded by MY taxes. And maybe I should hold off paying taxes because of the illegal wars.

Of course, the big difference between the two of us is I've had one profession for most of my life.

I believe libertarians don't like the tax code but I'm not sure a true libertarian would become an IRS agent just like a true libertarian wouldn't sell MA plans as a matter of principle.
