Coventry of KS got the same note from CMS, and is holding FYCs until they are rectified. Apparently, all carriers got the same message, because it is CMS that screwed things up.

Supposedly, Coventry was about to cut the checks when they got the CMS letter. I am not sure what the error(s) are. Could be a fly-spot on the paper. Any excuse to hold up commissions, if you ask me. I bet the carriers got their capitation!

I should have specified on the communications part, Yes I have received a wkly email blowing us off as agents. When you CALL to receive updates you get the duh, i dont know answer. My bad in being specific.

We heard from a fairly reliable source that CMS is compiling reports for the plan sponsors now and should be given to them in March.

CMS had previously told plans a rough time frame of the end of February.

I got some of my renewals, they said the rest would come in June.

Looks like these predictions ended up being a little on the rosy side...

I got paid for Coventry of KS via EFT. I got an email saying it may not be correct and there may be adjustments, but I got paid last week.

The email stated that those paid by paper check have been delayed.

At this week's "Medicare Advantage Breakfast Roundtable", which I attend with the head of CMS and all the major carriers, they said they will pay you "when they feel like it".

They went on the explain that part of the delay was due to their neglecting to order enough checks from Deluxe...

I spend 70pct of my time on Medicare related products and issues, and made 10pct of my cash flow from them last year. I use them to open doors to other products down the road and to build relationships, so... my perspective is different from someone who makes their living off of them.

I feel for those of you depending on the money and still waiting to be paid but the MA game is relatively new and it is seasonal at best and it will not support you in the long run unless you diversify.

The attitude of CMS and the insurance companies should tell you where they place the agent in the hierarchy. Sh*t runs downhill, and it is going to take a long time to get a taste of it. A longer time to get the taste out of your mouth.
