Family First Life Vs. Equis Financial

what is going on with Equis Financial and Getting releases? Anyone having any issues leaving?

As a general rule the Agencies that give out low commission contracts do not release. If they did their agents would jump ship on them as soon as they learned that they are on low commissions.

Gotcha.

Yeah the agent will just have to wait their 6 months out. The agent is almost there thank goodness. But i was just curious if anyone else was experiencing the same issue.

Thanks guys!
You should check with each carrier. Oxford, for instance requires you to self terminate your contract, then wait 6 months to recontract if the upline won't release you.

One Life America will release an agent that has no debt and agrees to the non-solicitation clause in the Agent Agreement concerning Leads and current clients.

Who paid for the leads? If the agents. they should be able to do as they please with them after termination. Whose client is it? If the agent brought the business in, it is his client and he should not have to agree to not solicit them for additional business in order to get a release. In fact, OLA should agree not to contact or send other agents out to solicit business from the agent's clients while they are contracted with OLA and after they terminate with OLA.

I do believe he's talking about their career side where they pay for the agent's leads or heavily subsidize them.

We are on the broker side of One Life and have no such agreements or stipulations. Other than not having debt.

This concerns Agents that are on the Career program - where they are provided Leads in exchange for production and reduced commissions on the Life side.

Don't "roll" any business that came from a lead received via the Career program. Doesn't apply to new business, other products, etc - just what the Agent put on the books from the lead.
