They pay out pretty well for CVS compared to everything else.

Hi everyone. I'm a newly licensed agent. I've been recruited by Premier Financial Alliance, Family First Group and American Income Life. Every time something felt wrong. I'm seeking guidance. I am a complete green pea. I know nothing. I just started this path.

Can someone just flat out tell me (as if I was a child) what companies are good to work with? Please point me in the right direction to a fair and honest company to start this journey with. Thank you for all the post to this date. I read this entire thread.

I just want to sell a legit product with a legit company. I want to help people and do good.

A few questions:
1) What did you have in mind when you got your license?
2) What market do you have access to and what problems do you want to help them solve?

It's unfortunate, but this is not a job. You don't pick a company and they tell you to what to do so you can be successful. It should... but it isn't.

This is a business and it's a business decision. Once you decide on what you want to do, then you find the company (or companies) that will help you with that vision in mind.

I ran my own business as a Jiu Jitsu instructor my entire adult life. The coronavirus changed all that. As you know there are a lot of insurance recruiters that are quite convincing with the idea that there is abundant income to be make in this industry. I was lured in with the idea of making full time money for part time work. I've been over worked and under paid since forever so I assumed I could work full time and make the kind of money I deserve after all these years of doing what I love and working multiple side jobs to put food on the table.

2) What market do you have access to and what problems do you want to help them solve?
My father died my freshman year of highschool. He did not have life insurance. I initially wanted to protect people from experiencing that. However, after learning a small about IULs I would like to help good people, including myself, build wealth if that is possible through some kind of insurance product.

Thanks to all who have replied to my post.
DHK thank you for your shared videos. The monopoly one was helpful for me to start to see the potential paths to take. I visited your youtube channel. The break away league is intriguing yet out of my price range at the moment. Thank you for your shared content.

Mark here's a link on our (FexContracting) website I created many years ago to help brand new agents to help them avoid traps that you don't understand yet. Things like "assigning commissions" and "free leads" and "pyramid recruiting" and stuff that many huge agencies will try to normalize when they recruit newly licensed people.

Our agency and the product we mainly focus on (face to face final expense life insurance) is one that many new agents love and become profitable very quickly. Some move on to other things from there but I have a lot of agents that have been with us for many years and see FE sales as the best niche in the insurance industry.

But give it a read. And be sure to listen to some of the recorded audios on the website from agents like Nick Frumkin, John Dugger, Jose Arteaga, and others and you can get an insight to how very successful agents work and how they think and how they got started. Call me any time if I can be of help. http://fexcontracting.com/getting-started-with-fe-sales/

Honestly for total green peas I would put more faith in a hiring manager than a company. You sneaky little Jiu Jitsu guys usually are known for patience so be patient interview with several others and decide who you best bond with. Looks like you need help with your takedowns just had to google, ground game looks good.
