Its like you talking about how tough tv leads are. What you just said kinda sounded like a lead is a lead is a lead, but obviously you have standards for lead quality to not waste your time. Mailers are no different.


Not enough difference to fret about. The diffence in the TV lead is the cost and the fact that you do not a card that they filled out and returned. If they say they don't remember making the call you don't have anything to show them.

And, I didn't say I could sell from the TV leads because I did sell them. I said they were the worst I've used.

I dont care if they dont remember, thats not an objection in my view.
Not remembering is easy to handle...Agree with them, and move on. Most people dont remember what thay had for dinner last week.

The only objection I cannot handle is the "oh its life insurance"

and they hang up.

This is afer I read off the card " state regulated life insurance"
or
"senior final expense program"......."This life insurance program pays 100 percent ..

And some people cant wait for you to get there and sign them up...
 
Why spend big money in the first place to talk to people who don't remember sending anything back when you can talk to many more people for far less money than a mailing.

Consider buying a list of names for a few bucks, load them into a dialer and tell everyone that you are calling because of the mailer response you got from them.

Of course none of them will remember (they sent nothing in!), BUT this should not stop you. The rest of the conversation should be EXACTLY like they in fact sent the mailer in..

Because they did send som ething in and thus they had an interest. What you are proposing is just cold calling. That's beside the point of it also being deceptive, but that's not as much of a problem as it's just cold calling.

When you are calling many of these DM leads back, it ends up taking on the same characteristics of a cold call.

Please share the secret of getting back DM leads who are all waiting for your call to set up an appointment to buy life insurance.

JD, I have to agree with you. In 8 sentences or less we can resurrect that interest they had a few weeks ago when they 1st mailed the card in. Not true with cold calling....unless they actually mailed a card in a few weeks ago.
