I would also say that if you are in Southern California I am familiar with your upline. Mortgage retreads looking to rook low income folk into overpriced policies and that weak pitch on their pre planning program. Browbeating people into signing on the line that is dotted may do well in the short term for you and them but these fly by night hucksters will leave you holding the bag.
As for the gentleman who has an LH agency on this thread I will give him credit for being the outlier in the LH heirarchy. I can't call bs on him because he is consistent in his rebuttal and does not engage in the LH chest thumping that seems to be their MO. My guess is that sometime sooner or later he takes his talents elsewhere.

Gordon is correct, I contract people for my team only from eastern NC and eastern Va. Hands-on approach, heat of the battle type training is what's needed to be able to do FE tele-sales successfully. (Field sales too).

I see quite a few people trash talking a company they don't understand. Everything I have read about LH is false from my 6 month experience. You don't get fired before your vesting period, they don't force leads on you and I am NOT captive.
