FE TV Commercials

I sold 15-20 Medicare over phone this aep and loved it . I worked direct transfer Humana leads .But your at the mercy of cost . If tv leads go to $130 you got problems. If my leads get crazy I'm just as comfortable cold door knocking a list for fe . Of course not as efficient as working dm leads. I'm confident I'd still do well .
You cold knock FE prospects and sell F2F?
 
" some agents closed 33%" I was under the impression that a prospect that called into a tv commercial was almost a sure thing? closing at 33% sounds awful.
do others on tv do better ??
33% would be great closing a TV Lead. Keep in mind the way higher average premium.
 
Gary, could that have been due to AEP. Now with AEP over have you reconsidered?

Ken it wasn't AEP - it was already a price/volume squeeze before that. It was 2 things: fear by the big captives like SelectQuote - "let's put this "motherFer" out of business because how dare he give OUR inbound TV to guys making 130% (I was buying from the same supplier)... AND greed by the supplier - "if SelectQuote will pay $65 for no buffer then you got to do the same...we don't care that we love your platform"...

Like I said - long term NO agent can survive the cash flow drain with a $65 no buffer lead...unless you are at 33% close/90% retention consistently.

The only one making any money (selling you a $65 inbound call no buffer) at a contract rate of 110% is the agency selling you that lead... No risk - all profit...

Yes I'd knock a targeted list . Have a card lamented and do your regular speel. Best mail a 1000 yellow or Green . Buy the list for $40 extra and use a laminated one to knock saying " Mrs smith this yellow card was recently mailed to you . I know your busy and we never got it back . I'm just here to drop of the information on the special state benefit program and see what you qualify for . Takes about 5 mins we can sit right there ". Again a lead they filled out is better .
 
From my experience DBGA Is king of independent agent Tele sales. I have respect, a lot of respect for them.

So, if you had inbound live TV at $65/30 second buffer and had 130% contracts elsewhere - you'd still stay there?
