Fex Quotes Offline Mode!

So to summarize:

100% of top producers say pay for FEXQuotes but don't hardly use it.

10% of top producers say don't pay for it but use it rarely if it's free.

Agents who sit in an office all day and have customers throwing apps at them through their drive through window say use it every day.

And Newby only likes it because he gets a cut of all the FEXQuotes profit. (Actually he PIMPS it!)

How about this: maybe use it if it gets you to the rate you are looking for quicker plus has the added advantage of showing you how your company compares on rates to other choices you might have? I don't need to have the cheapest company. But I have changed from my initial thought due to a large rate difference.

This thread is like a bunch of guys ranting that the horseless carriages will never replace his buggy.

And before you get into the "JD sells more than you stuff" yeah he runs faster than me too. But it's not because he wears Red Ball Jets.

You insult people that don't see the value of it then you whine when someone disagrees with your insults?

I know you are a gimmick guy. You loved the stupid big check thingy. You talk about spreading monopoly money out to show how much $10K is as a visual. That's all the quoter is, another gimmicky sales tool.

Personally I've never seen the value in it. But it doesn't both me that others use it.

I'm like the teacher that demands his students to write out his calculus long-hand and to show his work.

I'm old-fashioned in that regard.

I think doing so develops an intuitive graph of price ranges and comfort levels in estimating quotes without calculating them.

I also have "Picard Syndrome" - if you're not a Trekkie, you won't understand.

You Sir are costing me mucho over rides!

Be gone with you! This is my corner.

I'll be having my cheese now.

Whether you agree or disagree with me on using quoters, you have to give me credit for consistency.

You realize Picard used the replicator to brew his Earl Grey not a tea pot.

There are agents that only adopted smart phones in the last couple years. Before that they were useless.

.. I understand the need to pimp the quoter but that's all it is, pimping.

I don't need anyone to pimp FEX Quotes; I do a pretty good job of it myself.

Speaking of pimping, you do realize comparative quoting is just one component of the system. There are other tools available too.

- How much does $18,510 or any other odd amount cost?
- Access to agent guides
- Save the quote
- Print the quote
- eMail the quote
- Text the quote
- Fax the quote
- Excel spread sheet
- Lead generation (web plugin)
- RX database
- Disease / Condition database
- Term / GUL quotes

Yup, just a bunch of high tech gimmicks that are no substitute for tried and true old school methods.

I'm sorry, what is that last one? Term/GUL?

Don't worry about it. Learn to master the FE market and we can chat about it later ;)

----------

So basically it can do exactly what the naysayers are saying it cant do?

And which term/GUL carriers do you have on it? Do you have UW info for those too?

Yes, but I want to make sure basic quoting is kink free before I implement this feature. I sure wish FE had similar standards for UW.

As far as carriers, we have all the usual suspects and some of the off the wall ones too. As always, if we don't have what you need, send the rates over and I will get it added.

I wasn't referring to pimping solely the quoter but the website that has the quoter.

What would you know about new school or old school selling of FE?
