Final Expense Leads...Whats Your Opinion?

For you guys that telemarket leads -- either self-generated or via a 3rd party -- how does working those leads compare to reply cards?

Do you ever cold door-knock a telemarketed lead?

I have. I had a telemarketer call and ask if people would like to receive info on programs to pay for a funeral. If they said yes she would collect all their info and also their favorite color and told them when we contact them again we would know their favorite color that way they know it was one of are agents....she then would mail out a agency flyer to them telling them who we are and a few days later we would be at the door....worked like a DM lead..

They're pretty close to mailers.. tried them both- One thing about TL's are that there are a few pre-qualified questions asked.. confined to a wheelchair, currently in a nursing home, do you have a checking acct?.. that mailers dont.. TL's are also very quick to obtain- No waiting around for 6 weeks to start getting them in like mailers- Thing with TL's- you have to get on them ASAP or most will forget they even talked to anybody and there's no BRM you can use to jar one's memory..

I think the quality is a little better on BRM,but not by much.. TL's are also cheaper in costs, and the best thing is.. when you buy 20.. you get 20..Whereas mailers.. you roll the dice.. you might get 4 back on a 1000 mailer

I most certainly will door knock a TL lead.. If I'm unable to contact a lead..., but in general.. they mostly will pickup.. if you cant get a hold of a lead.. look at the time the call was taken... what day and call around the same time and day..

I'm finding anywhere between 2 to maybe 3 leads closing per 10 on TL's.. it's not great.. but the ROI is pretty high.. You'll need 25 a week to write good business

Hi TPA,

Care to share your source for these TL?? And a 25-30% closing rate (from what Ive learned) is VERY good, top ppl close 35%....Ill take 25-30%.

Not counting this thread, reread your last 7 post. and add up the value. Most of these guys do add value. I also got the recruiter/vendor vibe from you. If you are that is cool. There are a lot of you here. Some good guys like Todd and some dipshits. Most of us will wait and see which you are. Add to the forum and it can be a cool place to hang out. I hope that you have a lot of good stuff to add.

Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of knowledge here. Take some, leave some.
ok, I can agree the "value" I added in my previous posts were of zero value.
I am obviously new here and replied to a few posts to see how it works.

LOL. What value have you added since you started your worthless posts??? You obviously aren't brand new since you have a website. Why act like a newb, with a user ID meant to garner hits on your site?
See my previous reply. And I never said I was brand new. Where did you get that idea from? As far as my username, well take it how you like. I havent asked any of you to go to my website. Have I?

Phil, is it Phil?

Here is what it looks like to us:

A new poster came on here with the URL for a website for their name. The site has a logo that is hard to read, has an "admin" login, and looks like nothing more than a recruiting site. To take that a step further, the contact info for the guy that "has been successful in the Insurance field for approximately 10 years. Although this is not a very long time, he has proven himself to be a great leader in this industry." This e-mail address for this guy is @my3fg.com and my3fg.com looks like a poorly executed and incomplete affiliate site. What I mean by that is even if you ignore the color/layout issues, the sidebar has the following content:

Not a whole pile of credibility adding up here. The guy that has been in the insurance industry for 10 years and is allegedly successful is using an e-mail address from a website that links to TopCreditPicks.com and is an incomplete site with what appears to be no usable content.

At this point it may be hard to believe that I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but this whole situation doesn't pass the smell test. Would you mind clearing up the confusion and explain to us what your trying to accomplish by being on here? My theory is you're trying to use this as a way of recruiting to a half-developed (but interesting) idea, but I really would like to know more.

Again, I seriously mean it when I say I'm not trying to give you a hard time here, so let's hear it.
Nice research and thanks for pointing it out to me.
Let me explain...
The site iFinalExpense.com is a fairly new site (for recruiting) our agent website is my3fg.com
when I launched the new site hosted by bluehost.com I somehow got a virus they explained it to me as a DDOC or something like that. which affected our other site hosted on the same account. so when you go to my3fg.com you see some other company information which I do not know. I can see how this can be very misleading and I appreciate the fact that you pointed this out. I do know about the issue, however it is not in my hands as to when the issue will be fixed. As far as our logo, you mention it is hard to read...ok, well not sure what I should do about that. I havent had any complaints. And just so I am clear on all of these "rebuttals" I didnt come here to recruit. as someone mentioned this is a cool place to hang out and a great resource for lots of info. Thats the idea of the post. I want to get "real" agents opinions on what works for them and why. This way I can look into different marketing concepts for other agents that we work with. what better way than to hear from "real" agents expressing their opinions on different lead sources and sharing that with the new guy who doesnt really know where to start.
Thanks again to all of you for your warm welcome. I look forward to many conversations with all of you. I just hope in the future they arent about me defending myself or my company, but for the value in helping everyone learn how to be more effective at what we do on a day to day basis. which is helping families.

Reset - Start over. You started off like a wanta be recruiter on a forum full of experienced agents. Then added ""If you dont have anything of value to add, please dont. Is that fair?"" Just start over, it is only an internet forum.

onlt - typo. Means I was doing it on my phone in between bites of Chile Verde con Huevos. Learn to ignore them, Kinda like we did ""If you dont have anything of value to add, please dont. Is that fair?"":twitchy:

Reset

I didnt come here to recruit.

I really get the feeling you're lying to me. You're saying you didn't come here to recruit, but your username is a recruiting site. Seriously?
