Final Expense Presentation by Tim W

I'm not saying he didn't/doesn't do it. I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing with these $100+ premiums for FE. Anyone can ask for the big premium....after all, if you don't ask you usually don't receive.

You now say his persistency is no better and no worse than any other high producer. Yet last month you posted he had the best persistency with EFES. Which is the truth? Talk about being tainted.

This may be what you were thinking of: " I say this because I had asked the President on many, many different occasions..."what the hell is his persistency like?" He always told me it's the best in the company."

Only, it wasn't JD that posted it.. it was TD quoting the EFES president talking about Tim W in post #133 on the First Month at EFES thread...

Yes and no. Every top salesperson that I have know over the years had key points they always made in their presentations and adjusted the rest to the client and the situation. I would like to know what the keys points are in his presentation. I am always willing to learn and improve. I know many think they are good sales people and fly by the seat of their pants and they wonder why they are never really as good as they think they are.

AMEN MAN--DITTO THAT!

It doesn't matter. It's not the presentation, it's the presenter that's the magic.

I'll agree with that to a big degree. Nothing wrong with wanting to hear his presentation though.

The best salesperson I've ever seen told me her secret or what works for her is to plant seeds "all along the way". I suspect Tim uses something along these lines as well. Big money earner in the timeshare business and still is even today.

Another timeshare gal she works with uses a totally different method. She comes across very 'corporate'. She's also fairly successful. In the timeshare world she is a superstar.

Both of them will tell you they can't present like the other one. They each have their own style or magic. I know they do as well because I've listened to each of their presentations a few times in person.

You have to find what works for you IMHO. Some people don't have it in them to be corporate matter of fact people when selling. Some people can't say certain things others can get away with without getting their arse handed to them by a prospect.

I was on an appointment Friday with a securities licensed rep and the prospect said she would be meeting with two other well known firms who I won't name. He said "you won't be working with xxx firm" and moved on in flow. I later asked him why he said that to which he replied "he was planting a seed of doubt". The firm he mentioned is the only firm who can compete with his numbers because the other well known firm can only put 25% of her money into an annuity because of their strict guidelines. By doing what he can to eliminate the one firm (planting seeds) our chances of writing business increase fairly well.

it takes both.. A good presenter without a presentation that flows well has no "magic".

You're missing the point.

A good presenter with a poor presentation will always outperform a poor presenter with a "good" presentation.

Here's the "magic"; before any "presentation", a true pro will build some rapport with the prospect, set the parameters and responsibilities of each party, find the problem, amplify it, qualify for dollars (and health if necessary), and uncover the decision making process.

Many times if you do a good job on those, a "presentation" is unecessary.

Shouldn't you be prospecting for FE over at the jail?

Never heard of him, but there is a disturbing amout worship of the guy going on, here. Maybe it is deserved, who knows.

I wouldn't call it worship. The guy is the best FE producer in the world, though. But, he was also a top producer when he did annuities, term insurance, ind. health, P and C, etc.

He has been in the business going on 30 years. He found FE to be his niche.

He does recruit and train in addition to his personal production. I believe he does less personal production now.

I know his presentation by heart and also have hard copy. I use some of his stuff, but mostly my presentation is not his.

His wouldn't work for me as I'm not him. He uses some stuff he got from me, but mine wouldn't ork for him as he's not me.

One other thing about Tim is that he is the hardest working agent I've ever met. I certainly do not work the hours he works and do not plan to.

There is something to be said for the most talented person also being the hardest worker.
