Final Expense Telesales Tips - The Final Episode

Some are transferred and some are not. The transfers are $34 and the non are $25 I believe

If they ring you directly, $34 is a fair deal so long you have at least a 60 second buffer to cancel out wrong numbers and dead air. Make sure you have some control over the delivery of the leads too. In the call center space we call this a concurrency cap (only so many calls on the phone at one time). For the indy side you might be able to "press a button" to shut off leads or only get one per hour.

Without knowing SL's quality (Ive never bought leads from them) I would start heavier on FB (although $8.50 is a bit high/unless they are going to a landing page) and wean into TV.

Once you have a good expectation on TV I would try to transition exclusively that way if it makes financial sense for you.

The leads from Senior Life do not ring you directly correct? They "ping" you and give you the information, and you have to call them back?

They have both. They have live transfers and also pings where no one bought the live transfer when it was live. The pinged TV leads let you know the lead is just minutes old so when you call Ms. Jones right back she's till home.

And if she doesn't answer you can safely leave a voice mail that says something like "Hey Ms. Betty, this is Greg with the Sr Care Plan on TV that you just called for that free information. Anyway, I just need to make sure we have your address and age correct. Please call me back as soon as you can as we're almost finished up in your area.

Understood.

I'd pay more for the direct calls. Well worth it.

Yes several times. Good name recognition even if working DM leads face 2 face and talking about the TV commercials. Something about TV leads gives an agent more importance in the prospect's eyes, which improves closing %.
OK.. I understand that if the agent is working SL... But the way the discussion was going I thought he was talking about non SL agents being able to order them. If you didn't rep SL, I don't think you would want them primed for SL when they call...

The $25 leads are called "request a quote" leads. They are generated when someone goes to the SL website and clicks on a link that says "click here for a quote". Then the prospect types in their name, address, age, phone, etc.

These are what I would call "active" leads not "reactive" leads. They are somewhat actively looking, rather than reacting to an advertisement.

SL's leads are for SL agents only.

If there is some problem with the live transfer (teenager playing on the phone calling the commercial, or the caller is 86 or older, or call is disconnected, etc.) SL replaces that lead no problem.
