Couldnt respond to your PM proadvisor. So I'll just respond here.
Not yet, I was planning on getting it soon, I just have to figure out when the next course being offered is.
One of the things Im really frustrated about is the vast amount of product knowledge I need to learn while figuring out how to sell it. I have absolutely no idea what I'd be selling once I have my life and health license.
The other problem Im having is prospecting. I'm not afraid to prospect, but not when I dont have anything more to say to someone other than, "do you already have inusrance?" It makes things kind of difficult.
I feel like Im making this harder on myself than it needs to be, I just dont feel like I have anything of value to offer a prospect. I knows thats a terrible thing to think but its whats holding me back. I learn a lot from watching others do something first and then doing it myself. How do you think you can help me?

While I agree that one makes more commission with L&H vs. P&C, more people buy P&C vs. Life.
I prefer to X-sale from the P&C side as IMO, it is easier. Become a student of the business. Try out Troy Korsgaden's book: Power Position your Agency for only $3 used! A Steal.
I've had a couple large Allstate Agencies but as others like to point out, sold my last agency in Oct '06. But, I do talk to agents of all types weekly. Happy to help out if you'd like to call or email me. I've trained many agents over the years. Wonderful profession IMHO.
You sound like you have done well in the past. Study & you will do well in the Insurance Profession.

I am going to buy that book when I get to the house.

Ur making too much of it. Get ur licence and get hired by a company and they can assign u a mentor.

My wife and teenage daughter are free after 5. I'll send them over with the leads.
