First AEP under my belt but what is next?

Alright I did excellent for my first AEP with 165 submitted enrollments and 139 of them approved as of now.

I'm a w2 agent at the moment but the position has provided me with great training, I now have 48 states and I'm contracted with all major MAPD carriers and a few Medigap contracts as well.

I believe I am an above average agent and I am ready to go 1099 so I don't have to give up so much commission.

My conversion from June 15 (when I started selling) to now is 26%

I need to find an FMO asap because I will be resigning by end of December and will have 90 day wait before I can start selling again because I know they wont give me a release. Yes I know I will miss OEP but I want to be onboarded and RTS by summer so I can get into my groove before 2025 AEP.

I'd prefer to stay Telesales. I can serve more people that way and I can put as many of my licenses to use as possible.

Any advice would be great. And for you old timers that want to talk smack. Bring it.

Yea there's a million. But it's nice to get recommendations from fellow agents and get info from primary sources.

Right now someone is feeding you leads in 48 states, your using their technology, so what's you budget and plan to get leads and what the cost of your technology set up

Yes you are correct. I get paid 19 per hour currently and max out at 100 per sale if I still have it on the books at 9 months.

I have already found an option offering me 300 per sale. 150/150 during aep and 200/100 oep and sep. they feed leads but you have to maintain a 15% conversion. I can do that. But I was hoping to hear of other options as well.

Agree with you there too. 3rd option is to contract directly and do all my own marketing and lead gen and work another job till I figure it out. I can make money, I have a ton of different skills but sales do it faster and spend less time doing it. I'm just tired of making wealth for other people and having to spend more time working and less time with my family.

The whole reason I got into insurance 4 years ago was because of the time freedom.

Idk what to do.

What have you done besides 1 aep in the insurance game,

I started in life (term and final expense). That's was independent and I have worked with 2 IMO's. I can easily write 20k a month in life but I don't want to do life. Ever since I got licensed I wanted to do Medicare so when the opportunity came early this year I jumped on it.
It is definitely my niche. I love conversations with seniors and being able to provide a real positive benefit that does add value to their day to day.

Telesales persistency is 50-60% max over 12 months . You're dealing with dirt poor dsnp's in a call center . Guys like me face to face eat that for breakfast and dinner. I hate to tell you this as the truth hurts. You'll never make any decent money working leads in mapd in 48 states . Again you're dealing with low income and that must be sold face to face or you got no chance . You need to find a way to sell a little higher income if your going to succeed in telesales
