FL Judge Says His Own Ruling

judges are not supposed to be heroes. they are supposed to interpret the law.

I agree. The Law is what is still holding up this country and it's being more and more disdained. I think people stopped caring altogether since Bush stole the election (not for or against him, just stating facts).

i find it a bit political for the judge to be acting in this manner. i'm not saying i'm for or against obamacare, just that this judge seems to be really going at this strongly.

I haven't read it but I will only say in passing that some of what the judge did just appears to be common sense. The government apparently asked for a stay of the implementation which is what often happens when a case is on appeal. However, the government filed a motion to stay but has not filed an appeal. The court is being asked to assume that the government is thinking about appealing but has no appeal on file. The way this looks from the bench if you just look at the record on file is that the government lost and is now just asking the court to stay the order versus the government lost and is appealing it and wants a stay until the appeal is heard. Now the judge is saying "okay chowderhead, I will play along with you for a week and assume that you are going to appeal, but get it together in the meantime." That doesnt sound highly political to me. Just an everyday brokering between attorneys and judges on the mechanics of motions.

I could be wrong. That is just my lightening reading of a couple things.
