Would this be kosher?
In my area they publish a free monthly I think called Senior Life. Free at grocery stores and such. Take a bunch, attach your flyer and pass that out where you know seniors live. Just a thought.

I'm thinking maybe get a list from Josh to door knock and use this as a leave behind when no one is home. Thoughts?

There are TONS of FE agents in NYC.

I must respectfully disagree. Although I have never been to New York city, I have been watching television shows set in the city for most of my life, and have not once seen a Final Expense agent. You would think that if there were "tons" of FE agents, that at least once I would have seen one walking around in the background handing out flyers or something.

Have you gotten any business from them?

Just started three weeks ago cold knocking but I have two sales. 41 year old term case and 57 year male FE but both of those were from people I spoke to while out walking. I haven't heard much from the ones I left on the doors with no contact. For the time I put it is working so far and the door knockers are free so.. I can't beat that.

I commend you for two sales in three weeks...but you really need to measure whether the time spent gathering those two sales was worth it. I don't know anyone who does well hanging flyers on homes (or cars) though I'm sure some people might say they do okay. Time is money, gasoline is money, etc etc.
I'm not sure whether you are doing this part time but if you kept this pace up, you won't make it.
Door knocks are fine if they are in conjunction with appointments in the neighborhood gained by other prospecting methods, i.e. targeted leads and lists.
