Fliers to Hang in Apt. Buildings

I commend you for two sales in three weeks...but you really need to measure whether the time spent gathering those two sales was worth it. I don't know anyone who does well hanging flyers on homes (or cars) though I'm sure some people might say they do okay. Time is money, gasoline is money, etc etc.
I'm not sure whether you are doing this part time but if you kept this pace up, you won't make it.
Door knocks are fine if they are in conjunction with appointments in the neighborhood gained by other prospecting methods, i.e. targeted leads and lists.

he could always doorknock for annuities. I just heard that FE agents are leaving a ton of money on the table because the FE market is flush with annuity buyers and they just don't know who to ask.

It's spring time in Ga. Not too hot not too cold, perfect weather for door to door sales. That being said I also have a small telemarketing set up and I run DM's

I also get 250 free door knockers at a time from something that Mark sent me a while back. I had the first batch for about 3 months and one day just decided to go door knocking. I think the OP was talking about in Apt building in NYC and from my experience it wouldn't hurt or take very long to hit 30 doors a day. I pick areas where the houses are close together and I can hit 30-40 in a little over an hour. I can't speak for everyone but I waste a couple hours a day on here:GEEK:...

I'm just trying to grind and stay busy.

Keep grinding it out! Have you ever thought to set up a table at a large flea market on Saturdays? Do a raffle or something and gather information using a short survey. Make sure someone wins the prize of course. Use your imagination.

Let them walk by YOU instead of you trudging the streets.

JD. I know you being funny but who ever said that needs to come ride along in East Atlanta. I had a client that called and was a little upset with me because I told her $20 dollars a month but when it drafted it was 20.85, of course it wasn't a big deal but it's the point that she brought it up. :skeptical:

Well you are just like me and don't know what you are doing. Need to get informed from a marketer. That person would probably bought an annuity if you had presented it right.

Ya know.. that does make some sense.

When I was captive we did kids ID at the mall.

I got one or two sales from that but the company paid for the booth so.. I'll check it out though.

Maybe I need a little more training on that.. Let me guess it's 199.99 for the turn key system?

The next thing you know the marketers will be trying to push 5k policies on 100k and up incomes.

Heck, they figure FE can sell in the low income market, why not sell it to a CEO....:D:D

Ok just to get some facts straight, There are not many people selling FE in NYC, it has to do with the NY state law, which is very regulated, client actually has to sign a couple of extra forms in NY, most insurance companies do not do FE business in NY, actually Foresters is the only company I am able to sell, Presidential used to have a GI product, they have since closed down there FE business.

That being said NYC is one of the best places to sell FE, you never run out of people to see, There is more than 1 building in the projects, where I have more than 1 client, I dont have a car, I use Public Trans. most days I can walk to all my appointments.

Its interesting, starting out I asked in this forum, what you guys think about selling in NYC, everyone said cant be done, just shows you, NEVER ASSUME.

That is a very interesting post. What I would expect is you can do a lot more door knocking, since there is an unlimited amount of people per zip code to talk to. I would say word of mouth and staying active in the community will be one of the keys to success. Generally speaking, setting apts is not going to be as important where as driving is not considered in your day to day plans.

Also, Foresters has decent rates and insures a good amount of people. They also have some other nice benefits.

I can see fliers would have more of an impact in this area as well.
